My name is John Evans, and I am an Autodesk Inventor and Civil 3D Certified Professional. I currently work for Gustin, Cothern, and Tucker, Inc., a Civil Engineering firm in Niceville, Florida. There I manage the Civil 3D seats, training, troubleshooting, construction data management, and occasionally programming.
John Evans is an Autodesk AEC and manufacturing product journalist and holds Autodesk Professional Certifications in AutoCAD® Civil 3D® and Autodesk® Inventor®. He is a veteran with 30 years experience in the aerospace industry with mechanical engineering, design, fabrication, and CNC manufacturing processes. John merged his skills with civil engineering 18 years ago. John currently works as a digital prototyping consultant and process troubleshooter, as well as providing CAD management for a civil engineering firm in the Florida Panhandle.
He continues to work as a contributing author at Tekni Consulting LLC, and has served as the AUGI® World AutoCAD Civil 3D columnist since early 2009, and presently contributes to the Autodesk Inventor column as well. He speaks English and Japanese. He is a regular attendee of Autodesk University, and was a Lab Assistant in 2009.
John’s current array of applications include Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011, Inventor 2011, Inventor Publisher 2011, Alias Design, Alias Sketch, Showcase, InventorCAM, and Mach3.
When he is not available, he can be found with wife and boys, writing training material, proving a new design, studying Japanese language and Kenjutsu, in his machine shop, spending time with my Family in Japan and America, Playing cards, spending time with my 2 best friends Jamie and Jason, and learning something new.
